Audio Transcriber

We are looking to recruit a small transcription team to work on a dedicated project we have coming up. We are looking for 3 enthusiastic professionals that have an eye for detail and that are available throughout the working week, evenings and/or weekends.

The Role

This role is best suited to individuals looking to work remotely and that have the ability to manage their own time effectively.

You will be required to transcribe contributor interviews and so the ability to transcribe multiple speakers, as well as one on one, is a must. Also working to tight deadlines is very important.

You must have an eye for detail, enthusiasm to learn and you must be reliable!

This is a 3-month project initially and you will be contracted as a freelancer and so should be registered as self-employed and responsible for your own tax and NI contributions.

We offer you the chance to be part of a rapidly growing team and the chance to work on some of the UK’s top TV shows.  You will have the flexibility to work from home around other commitments.  We also offer highly competitive rates of pay.

Key Skills

We have a short list of key skills that will enable you to work effectively as part of our team.

  1. A typing speed of at least 70 wpm
  2. Facilities to work remotely – mainly a PC/Laptop and a Fast Reliable Broadband Connection
  3. MS Word
  4. Top notch spelling and grammar skills

Training and Mentoring

We produce high quality, uniformed transcriptions to a variety of production companies and broadcasters.  To do this we invest a lot of time training and guiding each member of our team in order to produce the same level of work across the board.

Because of this, we ask that you are available at least 3 Days Per Week to the role across a working week & weekends.

Office Administrator (2 Days Per Week)

with the potential for full time after 6 months

We are looking for someone unique to join our growing production company based in Glastonbury, Somerset.

This role has the potential to grow in time and we are looking for someone to take it with both hands and run with it! We need someone with the desire to learn, work hard and help drive a small business forwards. Proactive thinking, enthusiasm and an eye for detail are the main attributes we want.

Role Responsibilities

  • Help set up and coordinate office activities and operations to secure efficiency and compliance with company policies
  • Manage schedules/travel arrangements/appointments etc.
  • Coordinating training for all team members
  • Manage phone calls and correspondence (e-mail, letters, packages etc.)
  • Support budgeting and bookkeeping procedures
  • Create and update records and databases with personnel, financial and other data
  • Ensure accurate completion of timesheets for all team members
  • Track stocks of office supplies and place orders when necessary
  • Submit timely reports when necessary
  • Prepare marketing packs and proposals when necessary
  • Assist colleagues whenever necessary

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience as an office administrator, office assistant or relevant role
  • Top notch spelling and grammar skills
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills
  • Familiarity with office management procedures and basic accounting principles
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office and office IT systems (Dropbox, Quicktime etc)
  • Must be able to work well within a small team as well as individually

Post Production Transcriber

We are looking to expand our freelance transcriber team with enthusiastic professionals that have an eye for detail and that are available throughout the working week, evenings and weekends.

Because of this, we ask that you commit to at least 21 hours a week to the role across a working week.
